hen Paul Mistor set out to start a company, his goal was to create one that was built around fun products that are also educational.
His first project
was to create a travel-themed trivia game that would create amusing and memorable moments for players as they were introduced to fascinating cultural facts about countries in all corners of the world. The idea evolved from an attempt to teach his eleven nieces and nephews about the world culture. One of many projects he undertook was a story book about world travel which introduced the reader to 16 different languages. Everything from Spanish, French, and German, to Japanese, Chinese, Arabic, and Swahili appeared in Paul's book. As the project grew, it became apparent that there was far too much information to include in simple book form. That prompted Paul to investigate putting the content together as a game-a form that would be engaging and could be enjoyed by several children (or their parents) at once-while also addressing world cultures, one of his personal interests.
Paul then recruited Elliot, a graphic designer he had worked with on previous projects, to help the game become a reality. Paul and Elliot worked on assembling a creative team which included award-winning illustrator Jim Paillot. Working together Paul, Elliot, and Jim brought the game's fun and educational nature to life.
Wagadoogoo!, Inc. was then created to bring Travel Mania and other future projects to our customers. Born from humble beginnings, Travel Mania, their first product, was ready for market within a year.
At this point renowned web developer Alex Schenker from Contract Web Development, Inc. was brought on board to help develop the Travel Mania website and make the world's most fun and infectious board game accessible to the world.
